CAPE TOWN - The South African National Parks (SANParks) says it expects an increase in visitors to the annual wildflower bloom this year.

The West Coast attracts hundreds of flower enthusiasts to view the spectacle every year.

SANParks advises the public to plan their trips in advance to avoid congestion at popular viewing spots in the park.

"We expect at least a 25 percent increase from last year because this year we had a lot of rain during winter, all indications that the flowers are spectacular this year."
