PRETORIA - Lesotho's Deputy Prime Minister Mothejoa Metsing has reportedly arrived in Pretoria for a meeting with South African Development Community (SADC) representatives.

South Africa has condemned Saturday's coup attempt while Thabane says he won't return until his safety is guaranteed while Lesotho's military has denied attempting a coup.

Diplomats in Maseru said the army was largely seen as loyal to the deputy prime minister, while the police force largely supported the prime minister.
