JOHANNESBURG - Kaizer Chiefs maintained their perfect start to the 2014/15 season with a 2-0 win over Platinum Stars.

First half goals from Reneilwe Letsholonyane and George Lebese set up the victory for the Amakhosi, who have now recorded three victories over Dikwena in the last two weeks.

Their cross town rivals Orlando Pirates finally picked up their first win in four matches with an impressive 3-0 victory over reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Loftus Versveld was silenced with two goals from Kermit Eramus in either half before new signing Lehlohonolo Majoro put the game to bed 16 minutes from time with the evening's third goal.

Bloemfontein Celtic also opened up their account with a 2-0 win over Amazulu, goals coming from Musa Nyatama and Lerato Lamola.

Free State Star's 1-0 win over University of Pretoria pushes them up to sixth place on the log, while Supersport United slumped to another defeat, this time going down 2-1 to Black Aces at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

After four rounds, Chiefs remain top with maximum points, they're two clear of Ajax Cape Town in second place with Moroka Swallows in third on nine points.

Amazulu are cemented to the foot of the table, winless after four matches.
