Grabouw awaits response from municipality

After a protest march last week, authorities were given seven days to respond.

CAPE TOWN - The Grabouw and Elgin Civic Association in the Western Cape says its anxiously waiting for a response to a memorandum handed to the Theewaterskloof Municipality, regarding demands for improved services.

After a protest March last week authorities were given seven days to respond.

Tomorrow is the deadline.

The association's John Michaels says if the municipality fails to address the issues, community members will meet at the weekend to discuss resuming their protests.

The ANC in the Western Cape has pledged its support for the disgruntled residents saying they've been suffering for too long.
