Kruger Park elephant tosses car in dam
The attack is the third that's been reported in the park in the last two years.
JOHANNESBURG - The Kruger National Park says it will not put down the elephant that tossed a car and its occupants into the Sable Dam.
Yesterday, three people were watching the elephant drinking water near the dam when it crossed over and attacked them.
In December last year, a similar incident was reported when an elephant attacked a group of people driving in the park.
The elephant was later put down after officials said it displayed aggressive behaviour.
Yesterday's attack is the third reported in the park in the last two years.
The parks spokesperson William Mabasa says the trio managed to escape with minor injuries.
Mabasa the occupants of the vehicle managed to escape and only part of the vehicle was submerged and water.
