CT turns into 'mini-Hollywood'
A string of high-profile celebrities have recently been spotted in the Mother City.
JOHANNESBURG - The Cape Film Commission says it's not surprised that the Mother City has turned into 'mini-Hollywood'.
Half a dozen celebrities have been spotted across the city over the weekend including Charlize Theron, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Rebel Wilson.
The commission's Denis Lillie says, "It's hectic actually, it's very very busy at the moment - it's keeping everybody on their toes. We're just coming into film making season too. But I think it's just a reflection of how well thought of the film industry is in South Africa."
Theron, Cruz and Bardem are currently shooting in South Africa for Sean Penn's _The Last Face, _a drama about a doctor working in a famine relief zone.
The movie is Penn's fifth film behind the camera.
Theron and Penn, who are an item, have also been spotted in Cape Town.

Wilson is shooting scenes for Sacha Baron Cohen's new film Grimsby.
The comedic star of movies such as _Bridesmaids _and Pitch Perfect made the announcement via Twitter yesterday.
Cohen's new movie centres on a spy who is forced to go on the run with his football hooligan brother.

He has also been spotted at various Cape Town eateries and tourist attractions. He and wife Isla Fisher, who also features in the film, were spotted at the Biscuit Mill at the weekend.
Grimsby, set for release in 2015, also features Mark Strong, Ian McShane, and Penelope Cruz
The film has caused outrage among Grimsby residents, a large town and seaport in Essex, which has been portrayed as being rundown, dirty and violent.
Meanwhile, American actor Blair Underwood just wrapped up a vacation in South Africa.
The_ L.A Law_ actor tweeted rave reviews about his visit.
