JOHANNESBURG - Four taxi drivers have been shot and killed in Orange Farm in what appears to be taxi-related violence.
At least four suspects have been arrested for the crime in the south of Johannesburg.
Police have also impounded two taxis and confiscated two firearms.
The Johannesburg Metro Police Department's Edna Mamonyane says a case of murder will be opened and the suspects are expected to appear in the Vereeniging Magistrates Court soon.
The South African National Taxi Council claims over 61 taxi bosses and drivers have been gunned down nationally in the last two years.
