JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng police say it's too early to determine if Thursday's armed robbery at another iStore, this time at the Glen Shopping Centre, can be linked to the same gang that targeted the Cresta Shopping Centre on Wednesday.

A security guard was wounded in the leg when at least seven men robbed the shop, fleeing with electronics worth more than R1 million.

The police's Constable Michael Kgatle says the gang opened fire as they made their getaway.

"We are not sure if it's a gang that came there is the same gang that was in Cresta. We're not sure of which car they left with. They just shot a security guard while going out of the shop."

Two days ago the iStore at the Cresta Shopping Centre was also robbed and a shopper was shot and wounded.

No arrests have been made in both incidents.
