JOHANNESBURG - Wits remain at the top of the Premier Soccer League table after drawing 1-1 with AmaTuks at the BidVest Stadium on Tuesday night.

AmaTuks opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a strike from Atusaye Nyondo before Henrico Botes equalised on the hour mark.

Nyondo's goal came after a neat touch saw him glide past the defence to leave goalkeeper Thapelo Mabokgwane stranded as the ball hit the back of the net.

Following that early strike, the game failed to spark to life as the two team's battled for possession.

In the 15th minute, Wits threatened an attempt through Sibusiso Vilakazi's free kick which bounced before Tuks keeper Washington Arubi.

Wits followed up with another free kick in the 21st minute which floated over the bar.

AmaTuks continued to look dangerous, but could not capitalise on any of their chances.

Meanwhile, in the only other fixture played last night, SuperSport United beat Chippa United 1-0 after Clayton Daniels scored from the penalty spot in the 24th minute at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
