Sundowns look to kick-start their season
The Brazilians will be looking to collect all three points from the clash.
JOHANNESBURG - There are six matches that will be played tonight in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) as the second round of the fixtures take centre stage.
The most high-profile game of the round sees defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns travel to Cape Town to take on Ajax at the Cape Town Stadium.
The Brazilians will be looking to collect all three points from the clash having surprisingly only claimed a single point in the opening fixture against Maritzburg United on Friday night.
The need for a win will be made even harder as they go up against a resolute Ajax side that held AmaZulu to a 0-0 draw in their season-opener on Sunday.
Last season's runners up Kaizer Chiefs are also in action tonight as they look to build on their hard earned 1-0 win over Free State Stars on Saturday.
They take on Mpumalanga Black Aces, a side they beat 4-0 in the quarterfinal of the MTN 8 earlier this season but having suffered a 1-0 loss last time the two sides met in the league, Stuart Baxter's men will know that three points are not guaranteed.
Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates are still looking for their first league points of the season as they travel to the Free State to take on Bloemfontein Celtic.
The Buccaneers lost 2-1 to Moroka Swallows in the original Soweto derby on Saturday night and coach Vladimir Vermezovic will be demanding an instant response from his side, who despite having lots of possession during games, have found it hard to convert their goal scoring chances into actual goals.
The other three fixtures on tonight: Moroka Swallows vs. Amazulu, Platinum Stars vs. Free State Stars and Maritzburg United vs. Polokwane City.
