JOHANNESBURG - Former Jozi FM DJ Donald Sebolai's murder case has been postponed to next month in the Protea Magistrates Court for further investigations.

Sebolai, also known as DJ Donald Duck, is accused of stabbing his girlfriend Dolly Tshabalala at his flat in Jabulani, Soweto in June.

He maintains Tshabalala attacked him first and he was just protecting himself.

Sebolai made a brief appearance in court this morning and as he left the room he handed a note to a woman, believed to be his girlfriend.

The woman has declined to speak to the media about the nature of her relationship with the accused.

Sebolai allegedly stabbed Tshabalala repeatedly before confessing to her friend in a phone call that he'd killed her shortly after the attack.

He was on the run for nine days before police caught up with him in Soweto last month.

The case has been postponed to next month for further investigations and the accused will remain in custody, as he was denied bail.
