JOHANNESBURG - Six suspected rhino poachers have been arrested at the Kruger National Park.

Two of them are recovering in hospital after they were wounded during a shootout with rangers.

SANParks's Reynold Thakhuli says three high calibre hunting rifles, poaching equipment and a set of rhino horns were recovered.

"Four of them were taken into custody while two are being guarded by police in hospital as they recover from their injuries. They will soon appear in court."
