Breakthrough in EC double homicide

CAPE TOWN - Police have made another breakthrough in connection with the murder of an Eastern Cape woman and a six-year-old girl.

Two people, suspected to be family members of the deceased, have been arrested and are expected to appear in court next week.

The relatives were found murdered inside their home in Hankey on Sunday morning.

Five other people have also been arrested in connection with the killings.

Police spokesperson Basil Seekoei says the case has been postponed until 11 August.

The accused will remain in custody until then.
