JOHANNESBURG - The newly appointed Bafana Bafana coach Ephraim 'Shakes' Mashaba has touched down at OR Tambo International this morning with the U-20 side.

A small crowd had turned out to welcome team back from West Africa, but all the interest was on Mashaba.

South African Football Association (Safa) has made it clear this morning proceedings are strictly about the juniors but the country is still waiting to hear from the new Bafana boss.

A tough draw for the U-20s saw them draw with Burkina Faso and Senegal before losing to Mali and the Ivory Coast.

The fixture serves as preparation for the upcoming matches with Cameroon.

Victory over a two-legged tie will ensure South Africa qualifies for the African Youth Championship in Senegal next year.
