CAPE TOWN - South African National Roads Agency Limited (Sanral) will go to the Western Cape High court today in an attempt to keep certain documents secret that are related to its contentious N1 and N2 Winelands tolling project.

In May last year, the City of Cape Town was granted an interim interdict to halt construction pending a review of the project.

This is the latest development in an ongoing legal battle between Sanral and the City of Cape Town.

Sanral wants to ensure supplementary papers on the proposed N1 and N2 Winelands Toll Project are not made public.

It's believed this includes information on what the tariffs will be and how much revenue will flow to the operator.

The roads agency wants the matter to be heard in a closed court and to keep details about the tolling project confidential.
