CAPE TOWN - Traffic officials say 17 people have died on Western Cape roads this weekend.

Six of the fatalities were pedestrians.

Yesterday a pedestrian died after he was run over on Camps Bay main road.

Provincial Traffic Chief Kenny Africa says "Six pedestrians died in these accidents. One in Camps Bay, Observatory, another two in Worcester, one in Blackheath, one in Kleinvlei, so in total six pedestrians.
