The building is several stories high with abandoned surgical theatres and hospital rooms.
It's unclear why equipment worth millions were left there or why taxpayers are funding security at the empty building.

Mahlangu says a decision will be made by the end of the year to either reopen the hospital or demolish it.
But the MEC says more facilities are needed in order to take pressure off existing hospitals.
