CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town's Disaster Risk Management says their teams remain on high alert for possible flooding over this weekend.
A cold front moved across the region this week, bringing along heavy rain and strong winds, which are expected to continue across the peninsula until Sunday.
Last week the city assisted more than 10,000 households affected by flooding.
Disaster Management's Wilfred Solomons-Johannes says, "Disaster Management teams of the city are geared and are standing on high levels of preparedness as the double structured low frontal system already moved through. But over the weekend, we can expect more rain."
