JOHANNESBURG - The High Court sitting in Palm Ridge heard more details in the Radovan Krejcir trial about what appears to be a drug deal that went wrong, with a state witness claiming the Czech businessman was involved.

The state's witness Bheki Khumalo has been given immunity in exchange for his testimony about what happened in June last year.

Krejcir and five others are accused of kidnapping, attempted murder and dealing in drugs.

The Czech refused to come out of his police holding cell yesterday afternoon, because security guards denied his wife access to bring him lunch.

Court proceedings were disrupted for several minutes until Judge Collin Lamont intervened and addressed the matter.

This morning Khumalo is expected to continue being cross-examined by Krejcir's lawyer Annelene van den Heever.

He is the fourth witness to implicate Krejcir and his co-accused in the crime but they have all denied any involvement.
