Brics summit kicks off
It will be some time before an announcement is made on the headquarters of the Brics development bank.
BRAZIL - Leaders from the world's five most dynamic emerging economies will start discussions at the Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa (Brics) summit during a working lunch.
Leaders from the countries, including President Jacob Zuma, are in Brazil for the gathering which started on Tuesday.
But it will be some time before they announce where the headquarters of the much-awaited Brics development bank will be.
Brazil President Dilma Rouseff, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and China's Xi Jinping are also attending the summit.
They'll emerge to sign 10 agreements from their summit in Durban last year.
Only then are they scheduled to have a plenary session to decide on the domicile and president of the development bank.
