CAPE TOWN - The Sharks still have a chance of booking a spot in the semi-finals of Super Rugby.

To end second on the log, they will need the Highlanders to beat the Crusaders this morning.

Or a convincing win over the Stormers at Newlands later today will also do.

Sharks coach Jake White says they know exactly what is required from them.

"It's difficult because you have to pick a side and put them on the field and have a game plan. I think against the Stormers they have shown in the past that it's very difficult to get a bonus point there."

Regardless of the Highlanders/Crusaders result, White says they are going all out for the five points.

"Let's obviously get a win first and whatever happens between now and Saturday morning is obviously not going to change the fact that we want to make sure that we win."

White says they will know exactly what to do come kick-off.

"I still think it's not all doom and gloom. We might have to win with a couple of points or we might have to get a bonus point. It could also happen that the Highlanders beat the Crusaders and then we'll just need a win."

White says they will take an ugly win over the Stormers.

"The message is quite clear. We've got to get a result there whatever way we do it."

Kick-off is at 7:10pm.
