CAPE TOWN - The Ravensmead Community Policing Forum (CPF) says it fears there will be several more revenge attacks following the funeral of an alleged gangster in Uitsig.

Andre Josephs, who was allegedly a member of the 28's gang, was buried in Uitsig yesterday.

He was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting on Aandblom Avenue in Uitsig on 28 June.

A spate of gun battles between rival gangs in the area has occurred since the murder.

A 38-year-old man was gunned down in Uitsig in a suspected gang attack on Friday.

The incident took place at the victim's house on Carnation Avenue near Ravensmead.

It's believed the man responded to a knock on the door when he was shot and killed.

The Ravensmead CPF's David van Wyk says the community is living in fear.

"We as the community have our hands full. We don't know what to do anymore because shootings take place every day. We are asking the government to come and board and help us find a solution."
