JOHANNESBURG - A small group of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) members are protesting outside the Gauteng Legislature, from where e ight of the party's Members of the Provincial Legislature (MPLs) were thrown out on Tuesday.

A scuffle broke out when the group refused to leave after being told their red overalls had been deemed inappropriate attire.

Two of them were injured in the scuffle.

Police are now keeping a close eye on the legislature and security has been stepped up, with armed police monitoring a handful of EFF members protesting outside.

Party members are angry after speaker Ntombi Mekgwe kicked their leaders out for not dressing appropriately.

This morning EFF MPLs were also denied access to enter the house.

The party's Dali Mpofu says they will announce their next plan of action soon.
