CAPE TOWN - In less than two weeks there's been at least four multimillion rand drug busts across the country.

Massive drug hauls have been recorded in at least five provinces over the past few days.

In what police regard as the biggest ever drug haul, several tons of uncut heroin were discovered at a house in a plush Durban suburb last week.

In another bust, six people who have been linked to an international drug smuggling syndicate, were arrested in Vereeniging soon after the Durban bust.

Authorities also seized R23 million worth of heroin.

Western Cape police confiscated Tik valued at more than R4 million near Beaufort West last Friday.

Meanwhile two men and a woman are also expected to appear in court in Hennenman in the Free State today.

They were taken into custody after yet another bust.
