Lenasia residents to march to City Power
Locals say electricity outages are becoming a frequent occurrence in the area.
JOHANNESBURG - Lenasia residents will take to the streets to voice their frustration with Johannesburg City Power.
Households in the southern Johannesburg township have been without power since Sunday.
Locals say the situation is becoming a frequent occurrence.
The power outage has been attributed to cable theft and other technical faults.
Officials are working on the problem.
Lenasia residents will however march to City Power offices on Tuesday.
March organiser Yusuf Bulbulia said, "This has been going on since March and we are left without electricity for three days a week. We are tired and we want to see the light at the end of the tunnel."
