Protests outside Eskom offices in Klipspruit
Protesters are gathered outside the Eskom offices claiming they’ve been without power for three weeks.
JOHANNESBURG - A group of Soweto residents have gathered outside Eskom's offices in Klipspruit, demanding answers as to why they've been without power for more than three weeks.
Angry residents claim this is an ongoing problem every winter.
Resident Beauty Mashapa says they won't leave until they get answers.
"It has been going on for 15 years and now we're gathering here. We need one of the senior members to come out and address us and explain what the solution is and what the way forward is."
Eskom's national grid has sporadically been under intense pressure in recent weeks, leading to countrywide black outs.
