SAO PAULO - The Netherlands and Chile are through to the knockout round.

The Dutch beat Chile 2-0. They finish with nine points on three straight group play wins and likely avoid Brazil in the knockout round in the process. It's a tough loss for Chile, who had their chances, but couldn't find a way to break through.

Group B is all wrapped up, after the final two games. Netherlands' win means they top the group, with Chile in second behind them.

Chile and the Netherlands were drawing 0-0 after a cagey first half of their final World Cup Group B match.

Both teams qualified for the last 16 by winning their opening two games but there were few clear chances, Dutch winger Arjen Robben shooting narrowly wide after a surging run was the highlight of the first 45 minutes.
