School shooting case postponed

CAPE TOWN - The case against two men accused of shooting two matric pupils outside Oval North Secondary School in Mitchells Plain has been postponed to July.

Suspects Charles Anthony and Nathan Cloette briefly appeared in the Mitchells Plain Magistrates Court on Monday morning.

It is understood the two boys were shot in the arm, chest and leg while they were crossing a road on the way to school.

The two suspects were arrested on Friday in connection with the shootings.

The case was postponed until 16 July when the accused will apply for bail.

In the interim, the men will remain behind bars.

The two wounded pupils are in a stable condition in hospital.

The motive for the shooting remains unknown.
