'Coetzee will be reunited with struggle heroes'
The late secretary of Parliament Michael Coetzee has been laid to rest today in Cape Town.
JOHANNESBURG - Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa says the late secretary of Parliament falls under the category that Madiba characterised as good human beings.
Michael Coetzee has been laid to rest in Cape Town today.
He died last week, after a long battle with cancer.
He served in Parliament for more than a decade, and was instrumental in the fight against the apartheid regime in both the eastern and Western Cape.
Ramaphosa says Coetzee will now be united with many great struggle heroes who fought for liberty in South Africa.
"I see you proceeding to meet people like Helen Joseph, Walter Sisulu and Nelson Mandela.
"We also celebrate a life well lived in the service of his people, his country and the service of the movement.
