Burst water pipe in Ottery closes roads

CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town's Water and Sanitation Department is looking into a main water pipe that burst in Ottery.

Several streets, including Strandfontein and Ottery Road, are closed off to traffic as a result.

Water supply in the area has also been affected.

Spokesperson Farouk Robertson says surrounding areas will also be impacted by the burst pipe.

"We are trying to minimise the impact of the disruption."
