CT intensifies winter road safety
WC authorities have intensified winter road safety by rolling out 900 roadblocks over three months.
CAPE TOWN - Western Cape transport authorities on Tuesday vowed road blitzes would be increased dramatically in coming weeks.
It was announced on Tuesday, an intensified winter road safety operation will see 900 roadblocks over the next three months.
Provincial Traffic Chief Kenny Africa says efforts in dealing with driver fatigue will also be stepped up.
"This means that the fatigue management program is working. This winter we will embark on this program again, making sure we take tired drivers off the road."
