CAPE TOWN - Western Cape traffic officials on Wednesday urged motorists to drive with caution on wet roads.

This after a second cold front hit the province, resulting in heavy rain in places.

The storm system is expected to last until the end of the weekend.

Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa says motorists must maintain a safe following distance.

"Because of the wet weather, it takes a vehicle longer to come to a standstill."
