Eighth Krejcir 'hitman' arrested

The 36-year-old man is scheduled to appear in court today on charges of conspiracy to commit murder.

JOHANNESBURG - The special multi-disciplinary team set up by to investigate cases involving Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir has arrested an eighth suspect in connection with an alleged plot to kill forensic investigator Paul O'Sullivan and crime intelligence officer Colonel Nkosana 'Killer' Ximba.

The pair were investigating Krejcir.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in the Alexandra Magistrates Court this morning on charges of conspiracy to commit murder.

The 36-year-old man, who was arrested in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal last week, may also be linked to the murder of businessman Sam Issa who was killed in a drive-by shooting in Bedfordview last year.

The police's Solomon Makgale says the suspect was arrested on Thursday after he was shot in the leg during an armed robbery in Pinetown KwaZulu-Natal.

"At the time of the shooting, the suspect was also found in possession of a stolen vehicle."
