Local lawyer's house bombed
A pipe-bomb was used to destroy the Lansdowne home of a local defence attorney last week.
CAPE TOWN - A Cape Town anti-crime activist on Wednesday called on police to investigate an incident that involved a local lawyer's house being bombed.
According to reports, a pipe-bomb was used to destroy the Lansdowne home of a local defence attorney last week.
Reports suggest People Against Gangsterism and Drugs (Pagad) could be behind the incident.
Both the lawyer and Pagad declined to comment.
Anti-crime activist Hanif Loonat says the South African Police Service (SAPS) should take the bombing very seriously.
"It [crime] is becoming a common trend on the Cape Flats in the last year. It is important that we bring to book those who are involved in perpetrating such crimes."
