Anene Booysen's mother to be buried
Slain teenager Anene Booysen’s foster mother lost her battle with cancer last week.
CAPE TOWN - The late foster mother of slain Bredasdorp teenager Anene Booysen will be laid to rest on Saturday.
Corlia Olivier died from cancer a week ago.
Her death came just over a year after her foster daughter's rape and murder.
Relative Michael Olivier says, "Just a year after Anene's death we're going to bury Corlia. The whole community is very sad."
Earlier this month Booysen's biological father Klaasie Speelman was stabbed to death during an argument in Bredasdorp.
It's alleged three men entered his shack demanding money after which argument then ensued and he was killed.
Booysen was sexually assaulted and left for dead at a construction site in Bredasdorp in February 2013.
At first it was thought she'd been gang-raped but one man was later convicted for both her rape and murder.
Johannes Kana is now serving two life sentences in prison.
