JOHANNESBURG - The Wits Students take on Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban today.

For the Buccaneers, the game is their fourth cup final appearance of the season and Captain Lucky Lekgwathi says despite his team's lack of silverware so far, it's had a productive season.

"I think we played very well - even if we become second best."

The Pirates are aiming to win their first tournament today.

Striker Kermit Erasmus has praised the role of coach Vladimir Vermezovic since his appointment.

"He's very positive and composed in the way he encourages us before the game and during training. His approach to the game is very different and we've been happy with the way he's coached us throughout his time here. Hopefully we can reward him by winning the cup."

Meanwhile, Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt would like to see a change in the way cup final venues are selected.

Hunt was speaking ahead of the Nedbank Cup final.

He says he would like to see one venue being used for all cup finals.

"I'm a little bit old school; I think finals should be played at a particular stadium and they should be designated from the beginning of the year. There should be a cup final venue."
