Eskom: Load shedding won't return
The power giant says the load shedding experienced earlier this year isn’t expected to return this winter.
On Thursday the power giant appealed to customers to cut down on electricity consumption due to power demand reaching its highest point this year so far.
The power grid's capacity has been severely limited because of generator problems.
Eskom's Andrew Etzinger says, "The winter situation is very different to summer, fortunately. Our peak is very short and very high and if there was load shedding it would be for a very short period of time."
