Turok: We don't like losing to Malema
Ben Turok said after losing ground in the elections, there's likely to be uneasiness in the ANC.
CAPE TOWN - ANC stalwart, Ben Turok, said Julius Malema's Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) will force the governing party to sharpen its policies related to the economy.
But he's also critical of the EFF's longevity.
Addressing the Cape Town Press Club yesterday, Turok said after losing ground in the elections, there's likely to be uneasiness in the ANC.
"You don't like to lose support to Malema of all people, it's embarrassing and humiliating."
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe's state media urged the ANC to work closely with the EFF.
In an editorial published yesterday, the state-run Herald said it would dent the ruling party's image if it's seen fighting on the Democratic Alliance (DA)'s side in Parliament.
