Malema wants another million supporters
The EFF leader says his party plans to add one million supporters every eight months.
JOHANNESBURG - Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema said his party plans to add one million supporters every eight months.
The party earned 25 seats in the National Assembly and is now the official opposition in two provinces.
Malema said the party planned to build on these successes.
"We got this million in eight months so the task is every eight months we must get a million voters for the next five years and that's how we'll emerge victorious."
The EFF leader said his party would start campaigning for the 2016 local government elections this week.
Last week more than 1.1 million South Africans voted for the EFF as it contested elections for the first time.
