CAPE TOWN - Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg will play host to Mamelodi Sundowns trophy handover when they face Maritzburg United on Saturday.

Sundowns won the title after their victory against Supersport United on Tuesday.

The Brazilians will get the trophy after the game, which is the last match of the season.

The pitch will play a major part in what both teams do and with the dry weather the sprinklers were left on yesterday in an effort to make sure their will be no dry patches for the game today.

If the pitch suits it, the Brazilians may want to put on a show for their travelling fans having already secured the title.

To their delight they don't need a result.

According to Sundowns officials, thousands of fans are expected to travel to Pietermaritzburg to see their team lift the league trophy in seven years.

Maritzburg United team manager Quinton Jettoo said there will be a sea of yellow at the stadium.

"I have been in contact with Sundowns, they are expecting a lot of their supporters."
