Two cold fronts expected in CT
According to weather reports, the Cape will be cold and wet over the next few days.
CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town has warned heavy rain is expected across the peninsula.
This is the first of two cold-fronts expected to hit the Cape.
City spokesperson Wilfred Solomons-Johannes said heavy rain caused flooding on several roads across Cape Town on Friday night.
He said disaster management teams were hard at work throughout the night to clear the roads after storm water systems overflowed.
"We are in close contact with the South African Weather Service and keeping a watchful eye on developments. As of Sunday the weather conditions will improve. However, this is the start of the winter season and this system will have a double knock with further rain expected on Thursday next week."
