CAPE TOWN - Western Cape traffic officials say the Intercape bus company will be helping the families of those killed in a collision near Oudtshoorn in the early hours of this morning.

While the death toll has been revised to 10, 18 others have been hospitalised, nine of whom are seriously injured, including four children.

The accident occurred when the bus driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it overturn.

Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa says, "They've also indicated they've contacted the next of kin of all passengers and are assisting with their immediate needs. Intercape will also assist with the funeral costs of the deceased."
