CAPE TOWN - The case against the man accused of murdering rape victim Anene Booysen's father has been postponed on Monday.

The suspect is accused of stabbing Klaasie Speelman last week, following a dispute over money.

His daughter, Anene, was raped, mutilated and murdered in Bredasdorp last year.

The man faces charges of murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.

Speelman's death is another blow to the Booysen family.

Anene's biological mother was murdered when she was a child.

The girl was then placed in foster care.

Anene's foster mother, Corlia Olivier, is living with cancer and was recently hospitalised.

Family of the man convicted of the rape and murder of a Bredasdorp teenager say they are pushing ahead with their own investigation into her murder.

Johannes Kana received two life sentences for Booysen's rape and murder.
