JOHANNESBURG - The South African Communist Party (SACP) warned the ANC to be careful who it sends to Parliament.

Thousands of workers gathered in Daveyton yesterday to celebrate May Day but with only five days to go to the general elections the platform was also used for electioneering.

The SACP's Jeremy Cronin told workers to vote for the ruling party and make sure who they sent to Parliament.

"The working class must vote overwhelmingly for the ANC but also remain vigilant, those that we elect make sure they report back to their constituencies."
