CAPE TOWN - Five people have died on Western Cape roads this weekend so far.
Traffic authorities have urged motorists to take extra care on the roads over yet another long weekend.
Nearly 200 people were killed in road accidents across the country over the Easter period.
Provincial Traffic Chief Kenny Africa says in the latest incident last night, a pedestrian was knocked and killed on the N1 near Kraaifontein.
"The first accident was on the Paarl Franschoek road near Val de Vie where two vehicles were involved.
"The driver, a woman in the one vehicle died and the driver and the passenger in the other vehicle died."
