JOHANNESBURG - A wanted cannibal accused of killing at least two people in Lesotho is expected to appear in the Inanda Magistrates Court in KwaZulu-Natal in May after police managed to arrest him.

Lehlohonolo Scott was first arrested in 2012, when he confessed to the murders and to cooking and eating his victims.

He later escaped from the Maseru Central Prison and fled to South Africa.

Police say he was arrested at a church in KwaZulu-Natal earlier this month.

The police's Solomon Makgale says, "He made a court appearance and he had applied for bail which was declined. The case was remanded to 15 May."
