JOHANNESBURG - Police believe they have caught a serial rapist responsible for a spate of attacks in Katlehong.

In the latest incident, two teenage girls were raped and left for dead after they were lured to the Mavimbela area on Monday.

The suspect and his alleged accomplice were arrested yesterday. A third man is still on the run.

Ekurhuleni Metro police spokesperson Wilfred Kgasago says the teenagers are currently being treated in hospital.

"One of the suspects is suspected to have been involved in recent rapes in Katlehong and both the Metro Police and police are investigating the allegations."
