NPA to meet with NDPP over Mdluli
The NPA says the Supreme Court judgment will be discussed at the meeting.
JOHANNESBURG - The National Director of Public Prosecutions (NDPP) is expected to meet with senior officials in the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) over the next few weeks to discuss a Supreme Court of Appeal ruling on Richard Mdluli.
Last week the court ruled the NPA must re-examine its decision to withdraw fraud and corruption charges against the former crime intelligence chief.
He also allegedly employed family and friends as crime intelligence operatives.
The authority's Nathi Mncube says the implications of the judgment will be discussed at the meeting.
"They haven't studied the judgment and they will need time to do that. The NDPP is also out of the country this week but will be back next week."
