O'Sullivan: Mrwebi unfit for office
O'Sullivan says he will file papers in the high court for a review of the decision not to prosecute Mrwebi.
JOHANNESBURG - Forensic consultant Paul O'Sullivan has described the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA)'s Lawrence Mrwebi as "a criminal who is unfit for office".
O'Sullivan says he will be filing papers in the high court to ask for a judicial review of the decision not to prosecute him.
The Supreme Court of Appeal said earlier this week that Mrwebi lied about how he took the decision to withdraw charges against former crime intelligence head Richard Mdluli.
The Bloemfontein court upheld an earlier ruling to reinstate charges against the controversial cop.
O'Sullivan says Mrwebi is a "crooked prosecutor" with the ability to set guilty people free.
"I think the quicker he is put behind bars or removed from the NPA the better and I shall pursue this until the bitter end."
