Toyota recalls 6 million vehicles
Toyota SA says the group's latest vehicle recall worldwide is its largest in almost four years.
JOHANNESBURG - Toyota South Africa says the group's latest recall of some of its vehicles worldwide is the largest in almost four years.
This week the auto giant announced the recall of over six million cars, to check faults in car seats, airbags and warning lights.
Affected models in South Africa are previous makes of the Toyota Hilux, Fortuner and Yaris.
Toyota SA's spokesman Leo Kok says, "In the next generation Yaris model we'll inspect and possibly replace the seat springs that hold the seat in place. In some instances this might break and cause the feet not to place perfectly."
